Pass Plus course by Ely School of Driving

The popular Pass Plus is designed for qualified drivers who have just passed the driving test. A small course consisting of 6 hours that can be taken within a single day or over a longer duration.

Newly qualified drivers are the most at risk for driving related accidents. Pass Plus is aimed to provide these new drivers with extended driver training in circumstances that they would not have come across during the normal course of driving lessons. The aim is to enable a driver with a better ability to anticipate developing hazards and to generally be a more confident and skilled driver.

A test is not taken at the end of the Pass Plus course. Your instructor will grade you based on your ability. From the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) a certificate stating your completion of Pass Plus will be sent to you. This certificate can be given to your chosen insurance provider where you will be entitled to a 30% discount on your premium. These savings can be substantial given the high cost of insurance for newly qualified drivers.

What is involved in the Pass Plus scheme? Pass Plus consists of six modules designed by the DSA.
